Diversity


The Diversity Core Leadership Area (CLA) is overseen by a Diversity Director who monitors and evaluates state and local activities concerning diversity issues, and works with chapter diversity directors to encourage involvement at the chapter level. The Diversity CLA is part of SHRM's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative to impact diversity management. Diversity management is defined by SHRM as, "The comprehensive organizational and managerial process for leveraging diversity and achieving inclusion that maximizes the potential of all employees.”

Pennsylvania Diversity Council
The mission of the Pennsylvania Diversity Council is to enhance appreciation for and understanding of the value of diversity and inclusion. The Pennsylvania Diversity Council is an avenue to assistance with your diversity needs.

Diversity First Certification Program
The mission of the NDC is to be both a resource and an advocate for the value of diversity and inclusion. We foster an understanding of D&I as a dynamic strategy for business success and community well-being. The NDC was established in 2015.
